Another obvious missed point Turn10 needs fixing is the fact that some of the really big-name cars in the game whose wing spoilers don't extend upwards when in full throttle like - Bugatti Veyron, Audi R8, Ferrari Enzo and a few others.. are wrong if they value the word "correct physics simulation that mimics real world standards".
Good but not great numbers... I believe GranTurismo 5 will definitely surpass it - market-wise, game content/fun factor
His 15 minutes of fame has just finished...
PGR's got everything... c*ockpit view, damage, weather effects even motorcycles and very good tracks.
Hope it all continues with next installment plus more.
That's a man with a great sense of conviction.
Here's a short ( if uncomplete ) vid of Kaz-san racing at the Nurburgring for team Lexus ( http://www.motorauthority.c... )
The Suzuka track on both GranTurismo Prologue and Forza 3 might be the only track ( at the moment ) where any gamer can compare notes.. so for me the difference in integrity of the physics on both this game are quite small.
I did notice the undulation of the track especially in the turns on Forza 3 are more subtle than it is on GranTurismo Prologue, which is why it's far more easier to play on the limit on Forza 3 - *Suzuka track only.
It would be good though once GranTurism...
Not really.. although very good and I especially like that more cars and tracks are going to be available in the coming months for download using the points system there are a few issues MS/Turn 10 needs to fix.
Just an honest opinion here.. I think Forza 3 though a really good game and have been playing it heaps cannot even compare graphically to GranTurismo Prologue.
So no questions about it that GranTurismo 5 is the best in this issue.
What I really hope for on GranTurismo 5 besides damage which is already confirmed and seen by most of us is - weather effects and maybe just.. track editor.
Thought the last paragraph was quite funny... as for weather effects I do hope they will surprise us and confirm it for the game because it's another awesome feature that will make the game play so much more interesting and unpredictable especially on-line with other gamers. ( I remember playing Project Gotham 4 with this feature and loved it. )
Track editor would be really vast.. but if they can put it in there I think it will be the ultimate racer's dream, just imagine the variety...
...but I believe 10 out of 10 is a bit too much when the game still has a few issues going for it in all honesty.
Somewhere in the vicinity of 8.9 is more appropriate.
It is very good but not that great.
I sold my Forza 2 in just a couple of days because it just wasn't that good compared to it's competitors during those times.. thought it was full of crap and way overhyped.
This time around it actually delivered on a lot of it's promise, think it still has a lot a few issues to improve upon.. it's good news that they'll be putting in more cars and tracks in the coming months for download via points system.
Am quite disappointed though that they didn't pass the G25 wheel to...
I sure hope they could give all the cars for free and just use the points system on the tracks as they take more time and effort.
I love the long race/road tracks, Turn 10 should build more of them..
..And don't want to spend any more money to get a gold membership credit ( unlike Sony's which is free ) just to join the multi-player mode, thought every gamer should be entitled to get something free and worthwhile a few times since these companies are already making tons of money out of us anyway.
If the developer can make the right headlight/tailight graphic on any car believable, every detail on tha...
I pity the ignorance of said writer... and think he just wants to generate some sort of emotional response which is utterly pointless really.
I actually have Forza3 and do very much like the gameplay, especially adore racing on the longer real-world tracks of ( LeMans, Nurburgring ) but also the awesome made-up tracks of ( Fujimi Kaido, Rally di Positano and Sidewinder Proving Grounds ).. I thought these are the main stars of Forza 3 ( Turn 10 should think-up and build more of them as download in the future ) while the cars take 2nd for me.
The vid is good, he ( Sarazzin ) used to be the tarmac specialist for Subaru WRC i...
It's great to read that this man can speak his mind against the competition but still keep a good sense of respect and humility in saying it., brilliant.
I think it's very reassuring that come March, GranTurismo 5 will be quite epic and could be a very good contender for next year's game awards.
Forza 3 is really very good, but in reality it just can't compete with the enormity of GranTurismo 5.
The big plus I thought on Forza 3 weren't even the cars but the tracks, mainly the very long ones which are awesome to use.
I believe an 8.9 is more appropriate.. What I find most enjoyable about this game are the long winding and very picturesque road/race tracks. Turn 10 should put out more of them next time, beside the real world Nurburgring Nordschleife and LeMans there are about 2 to 3 made-up tracks worth mentioning: Fujimi Kaido, Rally di Positano and the Sidewinder Proving Ground.
I actually liked using the classic cars than the more modern ones, I just thought you have to use the better of your ...
It's a unanimous Uncharted 2... and could be GranTurismo 5 for next year.
To xtremeimport - Ferrari Enzo has small tip spoiler that extends up and retracts like Audi R8.. while Ferrari FXX also an Enzo are fixed with two additional rear wings.
With the Bugatti, the rear spoiler aren't only huge but there are two of them.. don't know if Turn10 can somehow fix this, 'cause if they don't that's one definitive fail credibility on them.
